A Movement, A Family, A Future

Alianza Translatinx is a Trans-led organization grounded in community, resilience, and justice. We advance dignity, safety, and opportunity for Transgender, Gender Expansive, and Intersex (TGI) people across Orange County and beyond.

Our Direct Services

Drop-In Center

Our Drop-In Center is a welcoming space where Trans, Gender Expansive, and Intersex (TGI) people can access essential resources, build community, and feel safe being their full selves. Open Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM, we offer hot meals, groceries, hygiene products, referrals to local services, workshops, and a place to rest, recharge, and connect. Everyone deserves a space where they’re seen, supported, and affirmed—this is that space.

TGI Community Support Groups

Alianza Translatinx hosts two weekly support groups designed to foster connection, healing, and leadership within the TGI community.

  • TGI Youth Group (Thursdays, 4–6PM): A safe, affirming space for Trans, Gender Nonconforming, and Intersex youth to build community, explore identity, and grow together. Each week includes peer support, leadership-building activities, creative expression, and fun!

  • TGI Social Support Group (Wednesdays, 2–6PM): Open to all TGI adults, this group offers a space to share lived experiences, receive and offer support, and participate in educational presentations and community workshops—all rooted in love, respect, and solidarity.

Together, these groups help cultivate community power, wellness, and joy across generations.

Health Care Navigation

Our bilingual Health Care Navigation team supports TGI community members in accessing safe, affirming, and culturally competent care. We help individuals start hormone replacement therapy (HRT), access Trans-affirming surgeries, apply for Medi-Cal, and connect with trusted primary and mental health providers. Our patient navigators—who are Trans themselves—offer compassionate, peer-based guidance every step of the way.

Food Bank

Everyone deserves access to nourishing food—and at Alianza Translatinx, we make that a reality for our community. In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, we provide fresh produce and pantry staples from our drop-in center in Santa Ana. Our food bank is more than a service—it’s a space of care, dignity, and connection where TGI individuals and families can find support without judgment.

We Demand…

  • TGI individuals in Orange County continue to experience violence and discrimination at alarming rates. 30% of our participants have survived a hate crime or assaults. We cannot allow this to continue.

    • We demand fully funded, community-led safety programs tailored to the needs of TGI individuals.

    • We call for stronger hate crime protections and comprehensive response strategies from local law enforcement.

    • We demand investment in violence prevention initiatives that prioritize TGI safety.

No one should fear for their life simply for existing.

  • The lack of safe, affordable, and affirming housing for TGI individuals in Orange County is a crisis. Black and Brown trans women are disproportionately impacted by housing insecurity and homelessness.

    • We demand permanent supportive housing programs that center the needs of TGI people.

    • We call for enforceable protections against transphobic discrimination in rental housing and shelters.

    • We urge county and city officials to increase funding for rental assistance and emergency housing services for TGI individuals.

Housing is not a privilege—it is a fundamental right.

  • TGI individuals continue to experience systemic barriers in accessing competent and affirming healthcare in Orange County. This is not a matter of inconvenience—it is a matter of life and death.

    • We demand universal access to gender-affirming healthcare, including HRT, mental health services, and HIV prevention and treatment.

    • We call for an end to insurance exclusions that deny necessary medical care to TGI individuals.

    • We urge all healthcare providers in Orange County to undergo mandatory cultural competency training.

Quality healthcare is a right, not a luxury.

  • The economic disparities faced by TGI individuals in Orange County are staggering. Sixty-four percent of our participants report zero monthly income, and 86% live below the federal poverty line.

    • We demand inclusive hiring policies and workplace protections for TGI workers.

    • We call for workforce development programs specifically designed to support TGI individuals.

    • We urge local businesses and public agencies to actively invest in TGI economic empowerment initiatives.

Financial security is essential to living with dignity.

  • Many TGI immigrants in Orange County have fled persecution, only to face new barriers in the U.S. immigration system.

    • We demand an end to the detention and deportation of TGI migrants.

    • We call for increased funding for legal services that support TGI asylum seekers.

    • We urge local governments to adopt sanctuary policies that protect TGI immigrants.

    • We demand an immediate path to permanent protection for DACA recipients.

No human being is illegal. Everyone deserves safety and freedom.

  • For too long, TGI-led organizations in Orange County have been systematically underfunded, despite providing critical services to our community.

    • We demand sustained, multi-year funding for TGI-specific programs in housing, healthcare, and economic development.

    • We call on philanthropic institutions to prioritize direct investment in TGI-led initiatives.

    • We urge local governments to allocate resources toward TGI community empowerment.

A just future requires financial commitment. Words are not enough—action is necessary.

  • Anti-TGI legislation is sweeping across the country, and Orange County is not exempt from these harmful policies.

    • We demand an end to policies that seek to restrict TGI rights in healthcare, employment, and public accommodations.

    • We call on local leaders to reject any form of anti-TGI legislation and actively advocate for TGI protections.

    • We urge community members and allies to mobilize against political attacks on our fundamental rights.

We are not a debate. Our existence is not up for discussion.

This is Not a Request. This is a Demand.

TGI individuals in Orange County deserve more than survival—we deserve to thrive.

  • We demand policies that protect and uplift our communities.

  • We demand investment in programs that address our unique needs.

  • We demand that our voices are heard and our rights respected.

Our Fight, Our Power

Alianza Translatinx is a movement rooted in resilience, advocacy, and the unshakable belief that TGI individuals deserve dignity, security, and opportunity.
